Frequently Asked Questions and other helpful information:

The Point of Sale Display and printing world can be a bit of a minefield so we thought we'd give you some handy tips and advice to aid you as you put together the first pieces of your promotional program.

The following are handy little tips to help you along but don't worry because we are here in person to speak with you either face to face or over the telephone to answer any questions you may have. We love talking to our customers so feel free to contact us where you will find one of our friendly staff on hand and ready to help!

Can I use my Display Stands more than once?

Our display stands are all designed so that graphics can be changed easily, either by simply sliding the artwork out of the holders, attaching using hook and loop Velcro, attaching new magnetic strips or by simply popping open the frames and inserting a new poster. It all depends on the type of stand as to which graphic change facility is used but all are designed for ease of use and so that they can be transported from one place to the next. We understand that it is important to get your stands set up quickly to impress your potential customers and because of this we offer the simplest and most portable range of stands on the market today.

Do Target Displays supply spare parts and accessories for my Display stands?

We supply a huge variety of different spares, accessories and add ons for all of our Display Stands. We can also keep your art work on file so that if you need extra prints at a later date you don't have to resend all the information. Just contact one of Target Displays consultants and we'll help you get what you need.

Are the Display stands guaranteed?

ALL of the Display Stands supplied by Target Displays are supplied under warranty and come with guarantees from one year up to ten years depending on the individual display stand! We only use the premier display stand manufacturers so all goods within our portfolio are tried and tested to withstand daily wear and tear.

What are the lead times for supply of Display stands and prints?

Our average lead times are between three and five days but we also operate a next day service (subject to terms and availability) so that if you have an urgent need and get your details and art work to us before mid-day we can ship your Display Stand or prints the following day! Just speak to one of our staff who will be happy to talk you through the steps.

What choices of material do I have for printing my graphics?

Target Displays print on a large range of different materials depending on the effect you are looking for. Our staff are always on hand to help you make your decision but to help you prepare here is a list of some of the types of printing materials we use:

  • PVC including: Stretchable Stretch'Flex, Stretchable Back-Lit.
  • PVC including: Standard (available in 3.2 & 5m), standard M1, Standard M2, Standard Light Emitting M1, Standard Opaque M1, M1 Mesh, M1 Mesh (Rachel), M1 Mesh Dark Back (Clear Focus Effect as for Micro Perforated), Excel, Mermet and Ferrari Style Screens, (Sign It) Standard Repositionable Adhesive.
  • Self Adhesives including: Standard Removable 2-3 Years, Standard Removable 5-7 Years, Bubble Free, Light Emitting, Transparent, M1 Micro Perforated, Standard Micro Perforated, Floor Adhesive.
  • Paper including: L.T. Paper, Back-Lit, PaperFlex 165
  • Woven (available in 2, 4, 3.05, 3.2 and 5m) including: M1 Cotton, M1 Drop Paper, M1 Win Drop (recyclable), M1 Drop Net, M1 Flag Mesh, M1 Spi, M1 Velum, M1 Trevira, M1 Jet Tex, M2 Jet 220, Eco Tex (recyclable).
  • Others including: M3 Carpet, Interior Decoration

What formats do I need for my designs in order for them to be printed?

Target Displays accept art work in the following formats:

  • QuarkXpress 6.0
  • Adobe Indesign CS2, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop
  • Freehand MX

If you don't have the above then please prepare the designs as an EPS or Press Ready, High Resolution pdf. Please show all fonts or an outline text before saving the work.

Please note that Positional Proofs are an inkjet or laser run off that we use only for positional accuracy - they cannot be used for colour matching.

If you send a match up print or other material as a hard copy (brochure, catalogue or letter head) we will check this before we print. If there are differences with colour matching we will speak with you to discuss the differences. It is sometimes difficult to get exact Pantone matches using CMYK printers. All the printers are calibrated to provide closest possible matches but if we have no proof we can only print what we have on disk.
